How do you ensure the quality of your services?

We provide services across the London area (Mainly north and central London), offering residential care, home care, and lifestyle enrichment programs tailored to individual needs.

How do I arrange care for myself or a loved one?

How is the cost of your services determined?

How do you manage feedback and complaints?

We welcome feedback through regular reviews, meetings, or our dedicated channels. Relying on our compliments and Complaints policy, complaints are addressed promptly and transparently to ensure continuous improvement.

Are your key policies and procedures at your request?

Yes. Our policies are updated promptly as and when required. The system is managed electronically and can be made available in a timely manner.

Our residential care offers a true sense of homeliness and safety, with 24/7 tailored support. Our team specialises in caring for neurodivergent individuals in an innovative holistic approach, fostering independence and meaningful engagement. Our residential units are often mistakenly thought to be ‘Supported Living’ because of the homeliness and the way we promote independence.

How do you ensure safety in the residential setting?

We conduct regular risk assessments, follow strict health and safety protocols, and ensure our staff are trained in emergency response. We have clearly defined procedures for both escalation and deactivation. We have systems in place to ensure that health and safety checks remain at the forefront of our radar. Residents’ safety and emotional reassurance are at the heart of everything we do.

Do you collaborate with other professionals to manage care?

Yes – Absolutely! we liaise with multidisciplinary teams, including clinical and non-clinical specialists, to create integrated care plans. We even ensure that new specialist is organised if need be. We have a strong relationship with The North London Health Service GP practice and have weekly review call with our appointed GP. We have an appointed matron from the CHAT. For clients who need regular admissions, we have specialised care plans in place where needed which enable our clients to be seen by their regular specialist with minimum delay once in hospital. This collaborative approach ensures seamless, interactive care that promotes wellness and continuity.

How do you support neurodivergent residents?

It is all about the mindset and adopted culture of the organisation. Our whole team operate on fundamental values that aim at understanding and engaging with our clients in a meaningful way on top of all the other requirements of our duty of care. We always see beyond the set parameters of their impairment or disabilities. With extensive experience, we use tailored communication strategies, emotional support techniques, and activities that promote self-expression and confidence. Our team anticipates future needs to provide consistent, proactive care.

Can residents personalise their rooms?

Absolutely! Each room is a private sanctuary, personalised to reflect individual preferences, emotional needs, and daily routines. 

How do you encourage community and family involvement with the residential care units?

We maintain flexible visiting hours, encourage family participation in care plans and reviews, and promote community engagement through events and activities that foster meaningful connections. Families and the community members who are regular associates of Bourne Hill Care – Residential are often invited to key events run.

What are your visiting hours?

Our residential units are small, with 5 to 7 beds, allowing us to offer flexible visiting times based on our clients' preferences. While we recommend visits take place between 10:30 and 18:00 and request at least 24 hours’ notice, we’re happy to accommodate visits outside these hours if they don’t disrupt the unit’s operations or other clients’ schedules. Simply give us a call to arrange your visit.

How do you ensure the safety and quality of home care?

We follow rigorous CQC guidelines with tailored policies in place, conduct regular review of risk assessments, and provide ongoing staff training (both technical and pastoral). You are given evidenced reassurance of safety and training checks on each carer, therapists or other professionals you welcome to your home. Continuity of care and a solid care and well-being plan ensure that our team understands and anticipates your needs. Your care and well-being plan is designed to promote your holistic wellness. We enable a haven of well-being at home.

Can I customise my care plan?

Yes, our care and well-being plans are flexible and tailored to fit your preferences, routines, and lifestyle, ensuring support when you need it most. We equally manage the preventive and curative aspect of the support you require.

How do you handle emergencies in home care?

Our carers are trained to respond promptly to emergencies. We not only have have 24/7 support available for urgent situations, with clear escalation and deactivation plans in place for each client.

Do you promote independence in home care?

We empower individuals by working alongside them, not for them. From your daily living activities to the lifestyle that you prefer, we encourage confidence and independence of decision-making whilst continuously offering choices that promote your wellness. 

 What happens if my assigned carer is unavailable?

You will have a choice of at least three carers allocated to you. During the initial consultation and assessment, you will help us identify a profile of carer that best suits you. We will then invite you to make a selection of three out of the carers we propose. In any case, we have trained backup carers ready to step in, ensuring no disruption to your care.

Whatever you achieve, we ensure it is applied to your day-to-day living as naturally and seamlessly as possible, for a more lasting impact on well-being.

Yes, we encourage family involvement in certain activities, fostering shared experiences and stronger relationships.

How do these programmes support holistic care?

How is the cost of residential care determined?

The cost of residential care is based on an individual assessment of your needs. The base charge is £1,500 per week, which covers core services, with additional costs depending on specific requirements or preferences.

How are home care costs structured?

Home care costs are tailored to your needs and include:
- The cost of designing a personalised care and well-being plan.
- Specialist clinical or non-clinical input, if required.
- The number of hours of staff support on-site.
- Additional remote support.

A detailed breakdown will be provided after assessment.

What is the pricing structure for lifestyle enrichment programmes?

Each program is individually priced, depending on factors such as:
- The length of the programme.
- The level of mentorship and support required.

We’ll provide a customised quote during the consultation process.

Are there any hidden charges?

No, all costs are outlined transparently during the consultation. Any additional charges will be discussed and agreed upon beforehand.

Can I get funding or financial assistance for these services?

How do I pay for the services?

We accept payments through bank transfer, standing order, or other agreed-upon methods. Payment terms and conditions will be clearly outlined in your contract of engagement and discussed with you in detail before services begin.
