We intend to offer Pranayama (a breathing technique) and yoga as choices of relaxation at Bourne Hill. Ashish Paul from Ashishveda will be introducing Pranayama to our staff, so they can practice this Ayurvedic treatment with our residents and also be equipped with a way to cope with stress and adjust well in unexpected challenging situations which inevitably arrive in any business environment not just care homes.
To offer respite for family members I am delighted to have invited some of our residents family members to join in, for a bit of downtime and equip them with these wonderful tools to manage the day to day stress from the challenges they face from caring for a loved one with Learning Disability.
